The bus departs early in the morning from Paramaribo over the Wijdenbosch bridge in the direction of Alkmaar, where you take the boat for the trip on the Commewijne river. In about 50 minutes you sail to the old plantation Reynsdorp, also called Bakkie. There will be a walk where you will also visit their private museum. The collection consists of old prints, maps, paintings, bottles and many other utensils. Other important documents from/in Suriname are also on display, such as the Act of Recognition of Suriname (November 25, 1975) and the Abolition of Slavery Act signed by Willem III. The diorama “Kerkshoven” made by Gerrit Schouten has been the inspiration for the wood shed, which has now become a dining place. Here we'll have our lunch. This is a very relaxing tour on one of our old plantations where you'll also visit a private museum and is a combination of bus and boat. You'll be back in Paramaribo around 17.00pm
