The tour departs at 8:00 am towards Zanderij. The driver to Blanche Marie takes about 8 hours with some stops along the way. During the trip you can see different animals such as: monkeys, sloths, dear, turtles, lizards and different bird species such as: parrots, macaws, trumpeters, powisies (bird used to smuggle gold), etc. After Zanderij we pass a few indigenous villages and continue our way to Witagron, a Maroon village, where we will have our lunch. After lunch we continue the journey over several creeks and bridges through the jungle to Blanche Marie falls. After arrival, the area will be explored. You can go for a swim and then the evening meal will follow.

From 8:00 to 9:00 am it is time for breakfast. After this you walk through a forest path to the waterfalls. Along the way, information is given about the flora and fauna that are present. At the falls you can sit below in certain places and enjoy the falling spring water. There are several natural jacuzzi’s for a wonderful massage. Around 13:00 pm you will return to the lodge for lunch. You will spend the afternoon at El Dorado waterfalls, where there is also the opportunity to fish.

You leave for Apoera right after breakfast. After settling in at your lodge, we take a sightseeing tour of the city of Apoera. In the afternoon you will visit the railway from “somewhere to nowhere”. After this you continue the journey to the indigenous villages: Small Kwamalasemoetoe and Washabo, where you will take a village walk and where you will get acquainted with the culture of the Trios and Arowaks, two different tribes. You can also buy souvernirs and in the evening, after dinner, it is nice to be together.

After breakfast, around 10:00 am you leave for the return trip to Paramaribo
